Postdoctoral Researcher, Data Science (PhD University Graduates)

We are inviting Postdoctoral scholars to join us in solving the complex data challenges in the energy, automotive, healthcare, retail, energy and BFSI domains. Applicant for this role is expected to be comfortable working as a software engineer and a quantitative researcher. Ideal candidate will have a strong data science background, with passion for identifying and answering questions that lead to new research ideas. Term length will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the product engineering team to identify and solve data analysis requirements
  • Create new and innovative ways of solving prediction problems
  • Perform exploratory analysis to identify patterns in the data by using statistical and machine-learning algorithmic techniques
  • Create innovative ways of storing, extracting, transforming and operating on the data efficiently and at low cost
  • Drive the collection of new data and refinement of existing data sources
  • Analyze and interpret the results of data analysis and prediction
  • Publish innovative techniques and results in journals and conferences
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Currently Pursuing or Should be holding a Ph.D in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Operations Research or related technical field
  • Experience in solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches
  • Experience in visualizing, manipulating and analyzing large volumes of high-dimensional data from different sources
  • Experience in presenting and communicating the results of quantitative analysis
  • Record of peer-reviewed publications in international journal or conference is a must
  • Knowledge in one of: Python, R, Julia, Javascript, C, C++
  • Experience in NoSQL is an added advantage
Selection Procedure: Candidates selected for interview will be undergoing an initial screening round (Skype / Telephonic), followed by one-hour in-person presentation.
